Magellan Poll- Ayotte up double digits, Ovide in 2nd
September 3, 2010Grant Bosse
Some results that are sure to get people chattering this weekend.
Magellan Strategies, an autodial firm out of Colorado, has Kelly Ayotte with a 13-point lead over Ovide Lamontagne, with Bill Binnie and Jim Bender in the teens:
Ayotte
34%
Lamontagne
21%
Binnie
17%
Bender
13%
Read the full poll here.
It surveyed 887 Republicans and independents who intend to vote in the primary.
It has all four candidates with remarkably high name ID, which I find surprising given the disparity of TV penetration between the campaigns.
It’s going to be an interesting 11 days.

5 Reasons why Ovide is Neck and Neck with Ayotte
1.Ovide has a much Lower name id still. ( this will change after the debate)
2.More republican CD-1 will vote heavier than more independent CD-2, because of the demarcate CD-2 Primary
3.Manchester area will have a high voter turnout because 3 Major Candidates from Manchester are running.
4.With Binnie in 3rd more like 4th place. Ayotte haters will gravitate to Ovide.
5.Among self described social conservatives it is a tighter race, with Kelly Ayotte leading Ovide Lamontagne by 5 points, 32% to 27% (these are the people who make up the voting electorate in a primary)

I agree with Ovide on probably nothing. But he is certainly the class act of the bunch-I worked with him in the state senate in the 90s.
