Ovide vs Kelly - The True Republican
September 12, 2010If you have real Conservative bones, then an endorsement of Ovide Lamontagne by Senator Jim DeMint (R) is REALLY BIG.
Jim has led the fight in Washington for Conservative principals since 2004. If I were to name my favorite Conservative in Washington, it is Senator DeMint.
If Senator DeMint, Laura Ingraham (who clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas) and me were to name the new Conservative Senator from New Hampshire it would be Ovide Lamontagne.
Ovide is a real “In the Blood” Conservative and I think he was just born that way right here in Manchester, NH.
He seperates himself from Kelly Ayotte on more than one issue but the largest is that many point to Ayotte who would have supported the qualifications of now leftist Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor who believes the Constitution to be a “Living Document.”
Yes, that was so called conservative Kelly Ayotte! The truth is that Kelly’s support for Sotmayor consideration has placed the interpretation of the Constitution at risk as a “living document” to be manipulated to suit politics of the time… and will now do so for the rest of the life of Justice Sotmayor. AND YOU WANT AYOTTE?
Ovide on the other hand does not consider the Constitution a “Living Document” to be manipulated. It is a limiting document. Quote from Ovides web site. “Viewing the Constitution as a “limiting” document means enforcing the literal language of the Constitution used by the founding fathers, and as subsequently amended, to keep the federal government in check.”
Ovide’s commanding and calm conservative leadership is just what New Hampshire and the Nation needs in these highly turbulent times.
I believe Kelly would be training for a year as Senator and Ovide would perform the job beginning day one.
Did you know that Ovide endorsed Mitt Romney for President in the 2008 presidential campaign?
Where would the country be now if Mitt Romney won the election?
Do you think that Ovide was right?
You bet he was right, center right just like America and we wouldn’t be bankrupt now under Obama.
Do you want a trainee or a senator on January day one? If you choose a senator on day one, it is a Conservative no brainer.
FACT: Ovide will be a Senator on Day One - The True Republican!.

I really like DeMint, problem is Ovide is so nice it makes him come across as weak.
With that said, if Ovide wins the nomination, I would vote for him. He is my #2 pick.

Do out of state endorsements matter at all in these races? Most voters in NH don’t even know who Jim DeMint is.
